| Shri Zalawad Visha Shrimali Sthanakwasi Jain Gnati Mandal, a social and cultural organization was founded in the year 1934 by 62 families, which migrated from Zalawad to Ahmedabad for livelihood. Intially it organized Manavrahat activities for the needy. It also organized either Swamivatsalya (fraternity lunches and dinner) or distribution of ladus (sweet balls) and fulvadis (spicy items) every year. The administration of the Gnati Mandal was carried our from the secretary's residence/office. |
